New Minimum Wage in Ontario Takes Effect October 1, 2023

A reminder to both workers and employers that the new minimum wage rates in Ontario will take effect on October 1, 2023.  The general minimum wage will move to $16.55 per hour.  Minimum wage rates for students, homeworkers and other specialized roles will also go up October 1.  For more information, consult the Government of Ontario’s guide at http://www.ontario.ca/document/your-guide-employment-standards-act-0/minimum-wage.
